I just dialed into a conference call to listen to business ‘guru’ teach his strategies.
This person quotes his consulting day rates as $10,000 a day.
However what I experienced was far less than I anticipated.
He was leading a conference call using a FREE telephone conference bridge line. Now this may be a wise move in terms of him managing his overheads, however it left me thinking it was off-brand - using an advertised free tool.
There are many conference call bridge lines that are free to use other than long distance call rates, but the announcement does not declare that to the listeners.
One step further would be to use a facility that allows you to have your own branded bridge line so that the welcome message indicates people are dialing in to your bridge, which is what I’ve done for my European bridge calls.
Our brand is far more than a logo or design. It is everything we do and all that our clients and prospective clients, suppliers, employees and team members experience of us.
However if we position ourselves as a premium brand there is an expectation that your clients will have of you.
Is everything you do ‘on brand’ with what your clients expect of you.
