How to access testimonials from your raving fans
December 5th, 2006 by Krishna De / Print This Article / Email This Article /

Blackberry.gifRecently when on the Reuters website I noticed a banner ad - now I don’t usually click on ads but as it was for a product that I use every day and is a key part of my business and personal life, I couldn’t resist.

The call to action said “Tell us why you love your Blackberry“.

Clicking on the page, the next page came up with the commentary “We love to get people talking about Blackberry because word of mouth is our best advertising.  Tell us why you are passionate about your Blackberry and we might use your story in our website or in our advertising”.

Hmm - so true - word of mouth on and offline is so powerful.

The button on the page simply said “Tell your story”.

Now how is that for a clear and simple call to action.

So I clicked through again and low and behold there was a very straigh forward “Ask” campaign”.  Do take a look at it as it’s a great model for asking for testimonials.  You can find the page here.

I’m off now to complete the survey - you see Blackberry is an integral part of my life and I just love my Blackberry, and who knows that if my story gets selected my business may get additional brand awareness by my association with Blackberry if my story is featured!  You see giving testimonials can grow your business - it’s just like principle rule of networking where the number one rule is GIVE to your network.
