And it came to pass in the year AD 1997, the prophet Tom Peters spake of good tidings – that a new era was about to be born – the time of a brand called you.
The prophet spake the message far and wide with the aid of his messenger Fast Company Magazine.
At first the message fell on the ears of non believers.
But a few wise men and women listened closely to the wisdom of Peters and started to spread good news and bring great tidings of personal branding.
The journey they travelled was a long and weary one but they believed in Peters teachings.
Amongst them were personal branding coaches, personal branding strategists, image consultants and media coaches.
The group of wise men and women were joined by blogging and podcasting experts and the good news began to spread across the globe.
And lo, one day in December AD 2006 celebrations took place across the globe.
For it was declared that the unique and personal brands of all the earths citizens were named as people of the year by Time Magazine.
And all the people rejoyced as they were recognised and rewarded for being unique citizens.
