Always interested in exploring how to drive more qualified traffic to my blogs and podcasts, I was intrigued by a new service that was promoted today to syndicate traffic, Blog Rush from John Reese.
I registered for the service which also enables you to invite friends to join the syndication. They then provide you with a widget to add to your blog which highlights other blogs in the syndication.
My only problem has been that trying to go back into the service to add other blogs, it does not seem to to recall me and even if go to click on the other pages for help or checking the password then it the pages on the site seem empty.
It may well be a great service but at the moment I am a little concerned there are bugs in the system.
If you have tried it out and find it works for you let me know. I’d also be interested to know if you too get blank pages when clicking on the links to the FAQ’s, Help or other pages.
In the meantime I am holding off adding the widget here until I can see that it is something that is worth recommending to others.

I’m running it on my blog, and although I’ve been less than impressed by the amount of traffic it’s driven, I do think that’s because I chose the “technology” category rather than the more obvious marketing category.
I found your blog because you and I both rank at the top for “blog rush problems”, and while I wouldn’t go so far as to say, I “recommend” it, I have to say I do recommend trying it, because the concept seems sound, and any traffic is good traffic.
Good luck, and I do hope you get your problem worked out. ..

Don’t bother with it. First, it doesn’t guarantee that every headline in your Blog Rush widget will be relevant. Second, a part of blogging is being able to selectively link to valuable blogs; Blog Rush takes that away from you by allowing just any blog to show up on your Blog Rush widget. And, not all of those blogs are safe. Third, you will not get traffic from using Blog Rush.

I have to say I am not sure that adding Blog Rush would be “on brand” for me - so perhaps will sacrifice some traffic. But I’m not sure that I want to have a widget there where I can not manage the posts that will be coming up - especially with the increase of splogs.
If you have examples of success with Blog Rush I’d be interested to hear of them.
