I just had to share this breaking news.

If you have not purchased your domain name to reflect your personal brand online, for your business blog or corporate podcast, or if you are like me and want to have easy to remember domain names for programmes, products or affiliate referrals you are planning to promote, I highly recommend you mouse over to a new website.

Alex Mandossian and Paul Colligan have just launched EMI Domains and for the month of April 2007, their launch price for a dot com domain is only US$7.85.

So head on over to EMI Domains today for really cost effective domain name and webhosting services.

The pricing isn’t bad, but they’re just using a reseller frontend to one of the bigger registrars. Apart from price what can they offer that other companies don’t?

  2. Krishna De Says:

Michele – you are right they are resellers.

At this point in time they are offering a better price than GoDaddy – the site that many people go to in North America to register domains.

In terms of additional services I am not sure what other things they have planned.

To put it in context, Alex and Paul have very extensive networks and joint venture partnerships, therefore for them it is a strategic move for their business.

They are working with many thousands of clients through their programmes, many of which have an Internet marketing context (their reach is into the millions of past, current and potential clients in their community).

Therefore to have their own domain name and web hosting service makes great business sense as they are a trusted source for their clients and alumni.

  3. Michele Says:

That’s all well and good, but they aren’t even using their own site – they’re just using a frontend to the GoDaddy system which wasn’t even reachable a while ago.

I wouldn’t trust hosting or domain registration to people involved in marketing as they won’t have the technical skill to back it up.

If you want hosting or domain registration you need to deal with specialist professionals
