The event will take place on the 9 October 2007 in Dublin and the 10 October 2007 in Belfast.
In this content rich seminar, Myles Downey, Founder of the School of Coaching and author of ‘Effective Coaching’ will cover how the mental state is key to effective coaching – for both the coach and the coachee. Read on for full details of the event and how to book.
WHAT YOU WILL DISCOVER
This event will take the form of a Master-class and will feature a demonstration of coaching.
The core proposition is that, while knowing a variety of models and having the key skills are essential to effective coaching, the ‘mental state’ of both parties, coach and coachee, has an even greater impact on the effectiveness of any intervention.
While this is mostly left to chance – or not even considered – Myles will present core concepts and demonstrate them.
The presentation will also move beyond conventional definitions of ‘non-directive’ coaching and look at other approaches that have a unifying intention: to promote and protect the authority of the individual being coached.
