Have you ever used Google maps and wondered how people seem to have their business listed so that you see a little map pin with the company’s details?
Well the answer is that the businesses have registered themselves on the Google Local Business directory.
It’s a free service – all you have to do is have a Google account. Then you can add the details of your business including your website, phone and email contact details and a description of your business.
If you sell products there is event the facility to upload photographs of your products.
It only takes a few minutes to update your profile and you can also update it over time.
Spending a few minutes writing a compelling 200 character description of your business just could result in attracting new leads and more clients as people use Google maps to find their way around your home town!

A useful tip and easy to apply. The first time the phone call confirmation aborted but the 2nd time around it worked. Took no more than 10 minutes in total
