Yesterday Anna and I recorded this weeks show on The Podcast Sisters and we covered the key area of repackaging your content from your business blog to create e-books, books and CD’s so that you can create your information product empire.
One of the recommendations we covered was taking your most popular blog posts and articles and creating a book using Blurb.
But what if you have just started your blog and you do not have many articles that together would make a great information product?
Well why not take the lead from Rory Sheehan? Rory has just become the editor of a new book and without having to write 200 pages of content himself. He approached a number of authors of articles related to sales and marketing and asked for their permission to include their articles in a book called “The Magic of Sales and Marketing Revealed”.
All the authors were allowed to retain copyright to their article and Rory has included links to their websites. So everyone wins – Rory positions himself as an expert with a book, the authors have another outlet for their thought leadership and readers get access to great information.
And the resultant book is free – you can access your copy here.
Creating your information product empire is a key strategy when growing your professional services firm. It turns what you know into cashflow and provides opportunities to market information products at a variety of price points to your clients and prospective clients, therefore unlocking an addional stream of revenue from your practice.
