Watch my latest FREE webinar where I cover 7 Essential Tips for Generating and Retaining More Business Using LinkedIn? You can leave your feedback at my Marketing Mentor Facebook Page

Yesterday on The Podcast Sisters Podcast we covered the subject of social netowrking and explicitly Facebook. I am constantly exploring different online networks but have never explored Facebook. So Anna took us through her learnings having joined the online community just over a week ago.

Some of the things I particularly like about Facebook are that:

  • you can upload your feeds from your blog to it
  • create special interest groups (I have established one for personal branding, employer branding and two of my other blogs – Talking Coaching and Todays Women in Business)
  • and you can create events such as promoting your live events and programmes.

Actually on face value I like the useability, look and format of Facebook rather than MySpace.

If you have had great experience with Facebook or have suggestions of do’s and don’ts I’d love to hear from you.

And of course if you are all ready registered on Facebook, perhaps we could connect as friends.

With increasing numbers of people searching for us on line not just the companies we work with, it is critical that we ensure we are digitally distinctive.

As there are so many platforms from business blogs to wiki’s, from Squidoo to Facebook, how do we ensure we select the platform that is appropriate for building your corporate brand, your employer brand and your personal brand online?

These are the subjects I will be discussing with my guest on the “Biz Growth Live” programme on 25 June 2007 at 1pm ET (6pm Ireland/UK), Dr Roger Anderson, author, consultant and entrepreneur who uses no less than 14 different online platforms to build his personal brand online.

You can register for this no-cost teleseminar at www.bizgrowthlive.com.

UPDATE – Roger has just emailed me to let me know that he is online at no less than 30 places! You can track Roger down here. I am looking forward to finding out just how he manages this and what he finds are the most effective places.
