January 23rd, 2007 by Krishna De / Print This Article / Email This Article /

As a professional services practice, it’s often easy to move from one project to another, or one task to another and not always consider how the infrastructure of your practice can support or hinder your growth.

One key area of infrastructure is your technology platform – but how can you ensure that you make the right investment decisions for your practice?

Join me as I interview Lena West of xynoMedia on next weeks Biz Growth Live teleseminar who will be answering your questions about technology solutions to build your brand, attract more clients, and increase the productivity of your professional services firm,

Lena tells me she can predict how your business will grow in 2007 based on your answers to her technology assessment.

So why not complete the self assessment now and – join me on next weeks Biz Growth Live call to determine your growth trajectory.  Just answer the following questions true or false:

  1. I am committed to using technology not just to “get things done” but using it strategically to boost my competitive edge
  2. In 7 minutes I can pinpoint revenues to-date, which products/services are performing the best and which clients are the most profitable
  3. I know and recognise at least 3 signals that technology is not supporting my business goals and efforts
  4. I regularly invest in the technology needed to take my business the next level
  5. Data security is of utmost importance. I have written security policies in place and I regularly use online security assessment tools to test the solidity of my infrastructure
  6. I perform regular, redundant, off-site data back-ups and emergency drills are regularly scheduled and tweaked to improve reliability
  7. I have identified a core group of people who can help me navigate technology challenges and opportunities as they arise
  8. I am taking advantage of e-commerce by selling information products to increase my passive income and so customers can do business with me when it’s convenient for them
  9. I realise that not everyone is ready to buy the first time they visit my web site so, I provide them valuable content in exchange for their contact information and permission to contact them again
  10. I have outlined my sales cycle.  I know exactly where potential clients are within that cycle and how I’m going to get them to the next stage in the cycle
  11. I regularly review new technologies and consult my written plan to determine if I should integrate them into my business to remain competitive
