The Face Behind Facebook

For those of us not in the US, you may not have seen the 60 Minutes feature about Facebook.

What was interesting is that the interviewer Lesley Stahl seemed to be more interested in whether Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg was too young to be running a company the size of Facebook with some 400 employees and an estimated worth of US$15 billion.

There have been a number of articles and comments to blog posts criticising Mark for not coming across in the interview as more dynamic and little written about his accomplishments.

I have posted the video here in 2 sections - it provides a good fast overview of Facebook. As you watch it here are a few questions to ponder:

- What does age have to do with vision or success?

- Is this interview just a good example of the Baby Boomer generation not respecting the capability of the millenial population?

- Are we so quick to dismiss the capability and innovation that is bubbling up inside Generation Y employees in our own business?

- How would you feel if your position were challenged because of your age?
