		<description>Great post and so true. But I feel the nub of the issue is your second last paragraph. 
It&#039;s the same with blogging, and even Twitter, there are no manuals for newbies. There&#039;s certainly a rule for the &#039;old heads&#039; in these social networks to provide guiding hands but likewise the likes of Linked-In and Twitter could make it a bit easier for the uninitiated with &#039;quick tips&#039; or &#039;dummies guides&#039; at the sign-up stage.
I&#039;d always prefer to give someone the benefit of doubt - it&#039;s a scary parallel world out there!</description>

They are technologically socially enabling, but they lack a real cultural relevance and that might be the void of meaning many people are feeling. I guess they are a step up from an isolated search experience, but nothing close to a real cultural gathering. Just some thoughts to help propel your post.</description>
