As a scientist by training, I am always interested in how women are encouraged to develop a career in science.
Over the past 18 years Women in Technology and Science in Ireland has worked to promote Science, Engineering and Technology as a career choice for women.
(NB: The photo is of my eldest aged 8 years taking notes at last weekends TeenCamp Ireland – she is writing notes about what the participants at the unconference were sharing about blogging.)
However what happens if you step off the career ladder for a time for family or caring responsibilities?
The world of science and technology is moving so fast, how do get your career jump started again?
Well that’s what the WITS Re-Enter programme has been focused on – enabling women to return to a technical career.
You can read their most recent newsletter HERE.
