Audio can bring your personal brand to life

Audio solutionsBringing your personal brand to life online with audio is a great way to connect with your website visitors but it needs to be well executed.

I use a number of low cost tools for my audio that we host on Biz Growth Live and Todays Women in Business websites or when we interview authors for their virtual book tours.

If you are going to use audio here are three key tips:

  1. make it easy for your website visitor and listener to engage with your message.  If it is a long play audio such as a teleseminar and you don’t want to make it available as a download, when you stream it from your website ensure that you have a button with a fast forward, rewind and pause button - there is nothing worse than listening to something part way through, get interrupted and then find you have to start at the begining again
  2. ensure that the recording is as good a quality as possible.  It does after all leave a lasting impression with your website visitors.  Listen to your recording and if it is not of a high quality or you sound just dreadful either re-record or just don’t use that recording.  Your audio recording should inspire, entertain, inform and educate your listener just as you expect of a radio or TV show
  3. don’t force the audio recording onto your listeners.  It doesn’t matter if it’s music or your voice, most website visotrs will find it annoying if audio comes blaring from your website uninvited.  Remember many people are working in open plan offices and your message could both irritate them and their cubicle colleagues.  Invite people to listen to your message - you might want to offer them two pages on your website - a page where they can listen to your message and a page where they can read your message.  It can also be frustrating to your website visitor if the message plays every time they return to your page and your audio message plays again.

Audio solutions are cost effective and can really assist your website visitors in guiding them to take action.

How could you use audio to help you bring your brand to life for your ideal clients?
